Fabricademy is a transdisciplinary course that focuses on the development of new technologies applied in the textile industry, in its broad range of applications, from the fashion industry and the upcoming wearable market. The two phase program will last 6 months, with approximately 3 months of seminars and learning modules and three months focusing on individual in depth applied project research.
Neenah Coldenhove is sponsoring 2 students for the 2018 / 2018 Fabricademy as we see great potential in building capacity linking textiles, digital fabrication & biology. The distributed campus overspans 5 continents with over 45 students participating. One of the digital fabrication tools in the Fabricademy is a Roland Texart Sublimation printer & press. We envision participating will get our partners and us in the network of the young & creative of our industry.
Part of the Neenah Coldenhove ambition is to co - install sublimation units at schools & universities with industry partners. The first is to open in Q1 2018 with Roland DG at the HKU University of Arts in Utrecht, The Netherlands.
