Trends change ever faster - the clothing industry needs new technical solutions and matching business models that fits with consumers' demands. For the Munich Fabric Start from 5 to 7 September 2017 Coldenhove and some other well-known companies have joined together to form a microfactory to provide the garment industry with an interlocking solution from design, to print, to cutting and confection to the sewn garment.
Digitization is the magic word that currently drives companies in almost all industries. In the clothing industry, the digitization of work steps is in full swing. It is now necessary to take advantage of the advantages not only in individual phases of product development, but also throughout the entire process chain, right down to the finished product. A solution model is Microfactories.
Realize now! This is the motto of the Microfactory, which is specially tailored to the needs of the garment industry. The goal is to produce clothing cost-effectively and efficiently, even when the production runs are small.
At the Munich Fabric Start trade fair visitors are given the opportunity to accompany the development of a garment step by step and to be convinced by the process's continuity. You can design your own running shirt and keep it sewn in your hands at the end of the process.
Earlier this year Coldenhove participated in a “Digital Textile Micro Factory“ at the Texprocess in Frankfurt. This mini factory also demonstrated the possibilities of sublimation printing by showing an integrated production chain for apparel.
